I've had my Macbook for five years now, and only in the past year have I been having trouble with it. Right now I only have two major problems that I can think of,

1. For a while now the CPU may heat up to 190 degrees and cause the fans to get up to 6500rpm, even when nothing is active and idle CPU usage is at 97% and up. I've read about using fan control programs but I notice no difference, and I have read about cleaning the fan, replacing the heatsink, or completely replacing the logicboard (which I don't have the money for). If anyone has any suggestions on which would most likely solve this problem I would be greatly appreciated.

2. The audio has been cutting on and off almost everytime I watch a video or listen to music, making the computer almost useless for what I do. A red light flashes in the headphone jack whenever it happens. I've read about pushing in a pin to fix it, but i've also heard thats not a permanent solution. I was wondering if anyone knew if replacing the port would permanently fix this (well, atleast until that one shorts out a few years later...), or knew of any other solutions.

If these problems aren't able to be fixed I'll probably have to just get a new Mac, which is another thing I want to ask about. After having to replace several parts on my current Macbook, and finding out that other parts can't be upgraded or replaced at all (like the CPU), I want to get either an iMac or Macbook Pro, mostly depending on which is more upgradable if down the road the same problems occur.
