If you have your ringtones in your iTunes Library. Just plug in your iPhone, go to iPhone syncing pages. Select ringtones on the top, choose what you want to sync. Then sync. Done
If you don't have ringtones, just go to the music you like, open iTunes preferences. Change import settings. Set the file format as m4a like the choice " Apple lossless" or "AAC"
Then click ok.
And right click on your selected music, "show info", go to "option", set the during time you want ( 40s for longest) then Ok. Then right click again, "transfer this into AAC files"
After done, right click on newly created song. Show in Finder(or Windows Explorer) find the file then change the file's name( its postfix .m4a into .m4r) then delete to song in iTunes library. Now open the new" .m4r file. Then the following way to sync them with your iPhone.
