Q: I have iPod classic 160G (late 2009). Trying to restore and getting Error 1439.  The iPod appears as a disk drive with 148G free space in my computer screen.  Files can be copied to it okay.  But there is no space for music etc.  How to disable disk use?

Resetting iPod to factory settings leaves it as a disc drive and restoring in iTunes gets error 1439.  Disk drive use appears to work okay but how to disable it not working.  Any suggestions?

It seems to not have any space for music since all space is assigned for disk use.

iPod classic, Windows 7, USB 2.0 ports
