So Apple announced that the new 2012 iMac will be available this Friday, Nov. 30 and I want to know the exact time it will go on sale so I can purchase it online.

Will it be at midnight (pacific time) or like when stores open up in the morning?

Any news/updates would be nice.

Thanks!!

Is this a 'guess' based upon 'tradition' or did Apple actually release this info?

Apple always do it with product launches unless they make a keynote. They'll be available in the Apple Retail Stores, but maybe Apple doesn't launch them in the Apple Online Store at midnight

So the answer is 'tradition'--I'll be up then anyway, so no big deal.  I was just curious as to whether or not Apple actually stated a time.  I'll be ordering the 27" i7 as soon the order process comes on line.

Note:  only the 21.5 inch model will be availible on Nov 30th.  The 27 inch model you want is still listed as a December arrival with no specific date.  Like you, I am eagerly awaiting the 27" model.

The 27 inch can be ordered from the Apple Online Store on Nov. 30, for a December delivery. This is information from Apple.

Ordered top of the line 27" iMac (except for only a 1TB fusion drive as I need BootCamp which isn't supported on the 3TB drives) at 12:05am 11/30 PST.  Due in week of Christmas.

Me too, but I went with the 3 TB Fusion drive since I use VM Fusion.  I hope it delivers before Christmas!  Help me out Santa!

I'm in the US.  I just went to the Apple Store on-line.  It appears that you can order both the 21.5 and the 27 now.  The "Select" buttons have appeared under both models.  The 21.5 is available in 1-3 business days.  The 27 is available for order now and delivery in a couple of weeks.

Your post made me slap myself

I have another Mac that has BootCamp installed and since 99.9% of my very limited windows use is performed in a Parallels window I can do that quite nicely from the new iMac.

My only need for BootCamp is for a couple of hardware items that can only have their firmware updated using an installed version of Windows--the update process won't work from within a VM window.  I can use the older Mac to update firmware if needed.  I cancelled and reordered with the 3TB Fusion drive.

Don't know about Christmas delivery.  My order says delivery Dec 24 to Dec 31.  Only time will tell.

I think you made a better choice for the long run, but the extra week estimated delivery is a bit of a bite.  Anyway, they will be great machines for years once we have them.

I am in montreal and the Apple store hasn't even recieved its shipment. The futureshop down the street got their order but no i7's, W-t-f?

Apple is as brand is becoming horrible. Why leave the customer ill informed on the day you launch a product. Wake up apple. Cockiness is not a winning attribute.

The delivery estimate for my order with the 1TB Fusion and the updated order with the 3TB Fusion were the same so I didn't 'lose' anything there.  I'm still getting to know my new 4th gen iPad so I won't be totally 'bored' while waiting for the new iMac.
