How do I check the age of my iMac. I want to see if Air Play Mirroring will work with Apple TV.  Notes say mid 2011 or later will work.

Open  > About this Mac > More Info and copy Model Identifier. If your Mac is PowerPC, you can't use AirPlay Mirroring because it needs Mountain Lion

Your Mac supports AirPlay Mirroring. Make a backup, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. Check if your applications are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com

    Check > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404

    Thank you!

    One more basic question.

what does the "shopping cart" keystroke icon that preceeds the command icon for Force Quit or Sleep menu?
