Look at the top right of iTunes window and you'll see the device

I tried that but nothing. I had to restart the Mac to get it to work.
Plus, when I downloaded it through the App store after installation it said there was an error installing. Can't they beta test anything?

Restarting a computer is standard when installing new software. I'm surprised you didn't already.

Also, I get this message from my iPad, "Podcasts on the iPad “Paul’s iPad” cannot be synced because all of the podcasts selected for syncing no longer exist."
Well, I deleted them from the iMac and can no longer see them on the iPad so how do I clear this up? Thanks.

that is a fatuous comment - if you knew your computers properly, you would know that isnt the case, and if required the product will recommend a restart. It depends on how the software installs and how well the code is written - normally Apple software doesnt require a reboot.

Same problem. Had iTunes and AppleTV sync'd - everything was fine. I ejected it a few weeks ago - now I can't get it back to sync. I've tried rebooting. I've tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in. I tried disconnecting the entire library from iTunes and then tried to reconnect and the device didn't pop up either. Tried going to file > devices and everything there isn't selectable.
