Hi, I have MacBook Pro early 2008, 2.4 ghz intel, Mac OS Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

When i restart my computer and hold command-r it doesn't go to recovery mode. please help

    What does it do?

    And while you answer Sig, can alternately try holding down Option instead and picking the Recovery partition from the list that pops up.
