So a few weeks ago I broke my laptop screen and since then I've been using my iPod Touch to go on the internet. I'm thinking about buying an iPad instead of getting a new laptop or getting my screen fixed right now. When I'm on the computer I do very simple stuff...go on few of my daily sites, search on google and read. If I got an iPad I'd most definitely also use it to buy books, watch shows and movies and I also think it would be good when I travel...because when I travel I usually don't bring my laptop because I think it will just be a hassle. Do you think I should get an iPad? I'll still keep my laptop if I ever decide to get the screen fixed in the future. I'm just sort of interested in iPads.

Based on what you just described as your needs, an iPad would be great. I have both a MacBook Pro and an iPad 3rd gen. I now only use my MacBook when at home. I actually bought a bluetooth keyboard cover thinking it would make using the iPad more like my MacBook, but I don't even use that anymore.
