My wife has recently been having issues with her MacBook. The computer was having unexplained hookup and would freeze. Eventually we had to get the people at our local Apple store to wipe the computer clean and reinstall the operating system. They were unable to locate the issue so we have to manually import files from time-machine and reinstall apps from backups. So thats our background here is the question.

I want to have a copy of my wifes address book from her iphone 4S before we try and sync it through itunes. We have had a few issues with the mac and I need to know that if I wipe the contacts accidentally, that I have them on a disk that I can just re-install them. I don't want an app, as I don't want to share my contacts online.

Can anyone help?
