Go to your carrier and get a new SIM that is not locked with a PIN code.

Hmmm... will they just give me a new SIM card? I'll check on that. Thanks! It's 11:30p (23:30) where I am, so it'll have to be tomorrow.

My husband brought up a point- I'm not sure if I did a back-up on my phone after I updated to iOS 6. The backup in iTunes can be from an earlier iOS . Could this be an issue??

Thanks KiltedTim and my hubby! I put the SIM card in an old Nokia phone unlocked it and the restoring process worked! Relieved!
