I've just upgraded to iTunes 11 and the functionality of iCloud seems much improved, so I have decided to have a go at working and syncing between iPHone and PC, using Outlook etc.  All this worked really well so I thought I would try using documents in iCLoud. I clicked on the iWork link on my iCloud homepage and it invites me to buy Pages which will enable me to use it as a word processor on my iphone and access docs in word on my pc.  I have purcahsed Pages and can use it on my iphone so I've created a document and tried to see it on my pc in the icloud page but I just keep being referred to the page inviting me to buy Pages. I know I need to tell Pages on my iPhone to share the document as a Word doc and I've done that too, but since I can't get past the "Get Pages" screen in iCloud I have no idea if that has worked.

Have I missed something?  Please tell me because if I can't get at documents made in Page through the cloud I've just wasted my money.

There is no such thing as Pages for Windows. Use Word to open Pages files.

Any documents stored in iCloud are duplicated (on a Mac) to the user library for offline access, I assume a similar thing takes place on Windows but I have no idea where the storage location is. Use Windows Search to locate one of the files by name, then you will know where they are.

    PS

Use DropBox or SugarSync for this, it is so much easier. You'll get 2G free storage with Dropbox and 5G with SugarSync.

My problem is then when I go online to my iCloud I can click on a number of icons all of which work ok (Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Tasks, Find my iPhone), but I'm also offered iWork, and what I'm expecting when I click on that is a list of the files I've created on my iphone using Page.  I was then going to open these using Word, which the documentation seems to suggest I can do.

You should be able to do this.

On your iPhone go to Settings>iCloud and ensure "Documents & Data" is set to "On". Next open Pages on your phone and you should be given the option to "Use iCloud".

Do you have sufficient storage space remaining in your iCloud account?

When you go to Settings>Pages, is "Use iCloud" selected?

Hopefully someone else will be able to help you out.
