Setting up new MacBook tonight (13" non-retina); I want to use iCloud, but don't want to sync all info all the time between my iPhone 4S (where I don't want to deal with thousands of photos, etc) -- as well as our family iMac desktop (don't want my kids Justin Biber songs!). How can I use iCloud without total sync? Thanks DC
Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), also have iPhone 4S & iMac desktop
As iCloud is for sync, you can only use Mail, Photo Stream and Find my Mac if you don't want to sync data between devices. Open System Preferences > iCloud and turn off Calendars and reminders, Notes, Contacts, Safari and Documents and Data
