I experience the same problem, when my iMac goes to sleep and it wakes up later. It even happen each time I am streaming a movie to my ATV; just annoying.

    NEWS ALERT:

it didn't work until today; after dowloadining itunes 11 it seemed all the same, stuck once more and 4002 error. THen i switched off and turned on ITUNES MATCH (later this try , it wasn't succesfull) , and now, holding my breath.... it seems to work, updating in real time - after, let's say, 3 months of pain.

so SWITCH OFF, TURN ON ITM on itunes 11.

Look like this problem recurs again. The service has become unpredicatable due to overwhelming requests. I am too getting 4002 error and  "Sending information to Apple" infinite waiting message.  Sometimes re-sign-in to iTunes match will make it work but really getting  irritating. Matching with Re-sign-in only succeed the first time, and you need repeat it again and again. I think that iTunes 11 has become very successful but at same time  a victim of its success , haha.  Let's hope things will improve  few days later.
