Nov 30, 2012 2:10 PM in response to hmbterryby planb77,iTunes should have had no effect on the playback of podcasts on your iPod Shuffle. The only way the playback behavior could change if is the firmware is corrupted, the settings have been changed, or the firmware has been updated by Apple and updated on the Shuffle via iTunes.
Are these podcasts from the same podcast series? Is the 3 way switch on the top set to Play in Order or Shuffle?

Nov 30, 2012 2:17 PM in response to planb77by hmbterry,The thing just plays the same podcast over and over no matter which way the green button is set. Fast forward stopped working also. i could try restoring it. The trick about turning it off and holding the button down didn't do anything.

Dec 1, 2012 7:58 AM in response to planb77by hmbterry,I'm glad to know that, I found voice over annoying so i always shut it off. Coincidences are a *****: restoring my shuffle fixed it. Why my shuffle needed restoring at the same time the update came down for iTunes is a mystery and I had a great system of going to recently acquired files to get the latest group of podcasts and dragging them into the podcast playlist on the shuffle. This is not so easy with the new update.

Dec 1, 2012 12:52 PM in response to hmbterryby hmbterry,I get it now: to get to the next podcast I have to push the voice button and then I have to push it over and over again because it want to start with podcast 1, then 2 and so on. What I can't comprehend is why this is an improvement over the old system.
