    Also, I can use whatApps, Cubie, Voxer just fine.

    We're not sure we fully understand your question..

     

    The SMS you receive with the code is required only one time - when you first register to Viber. After you enter that code, Viber is activated and it's ready to be used.

     

    The reuiqrement to have Push Notifications enabled has nothing to do with the registration process. Viber requires Push Notifications to be enabled ALL the time. During the registration, when the app is activated and running, etc.

    Hi @Nmej -

     

    What country are you located in? Which cellular network?

     

    Some mobile operators across the world block Viber on their 3G network. Usually this happens when users have a "simple" data plan (or a prepaid contract), meaning they didn't pay extra for using VoIP on their 3G network.


    In order to verify this, we recommend to contact your cell company and confirm this with them.

    Hi,

     

    My location is Thailand and with 3G. Shame on Thailand as Vietname has 4G already

    My provider is Truemove-H. I recognize that I google about this matter and it seems to

    me that it does not work in Thailand. I asked some of my friends but they do not use Viber

    much comparing to whatapps and Line.

     

    But it would be nice to get any explanation why it does not work as it work with some of

    my friends. I think I am just curious.

    The technical nature of the block could vary. It could be a block by port, by protocol, etc.

    Unfortunately, as a company representative, I cannot officially recommend you of ways to bypass this block (if it indeed exists). You will need to consult with fellow Viber users who are technical and can check this matter thoroughly

    Hi Viber Team

     

    I do google serch in Thai Lanaguge and find some solution that :-

     

    Viber works only with Wifi 3G or edge (with 3G or edge will be charge up to the mobile provider)

    I never tried using Viber with Wifi yet so I could not assure if it is the case (my location is in Thailand)

    Once I tried and find out that it is true. I will share the solution here.

    You should test Viber on a few different WiFi networks and see if it works on them.

    Hi ViberTeam!

     

     

    I have used viber daily before. I texted and called back and forward to Cyprus, but suddenly didn't Viber work in my apartment anymore. Anymore, and it has been like this or 8/9 months. I get the messages as a notification but I can't open them on the "chat", but as soon as I get connected to f.ex 3G or another wifi does the old messages appear and the app work as normal. What is the reason to that? I have not changed my Internet company or decoder. Everytime I try to call someone when I am home using my wifi does it does it pop up a box saying:

    "NO SERVICE! There seams to be a problem connecting to Viber's service. Please check your connection and try again"

    But my connection is as good as it gets.

     

     

    Ps! People can call me on viber and I see it and I can chose to push the red or green answering button but even if I push the green one to answer does it still not work. And also since I see you are asking people what country we live in, I live in Norway

     

    Please help me, I really appreciate your app!

    @Helenaelia -

     

    It could be that the network you are connected to is blocking Viber's traffic.


    1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?

    2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled ("forwarded") on your routers or firewalls:

    TCP: 5242 + 4244

    UDP: 5243 + 9785


    (if you are not sure how to enable ports, you may contact your router manufacturer)

    Hello,

     

    Fiber is not working on my iPhone 4S. It says that the notifications off. I turned on all of the notifications and rebooted the phone.....it still does not work? I reinstalled the app and it still says my notifications are off. My phone is not jailbroken.  Please help!!!

    Hi I installed viber on my iPad and it started over on my iPhone. I could not get it reactivated. The access codes did not work. I have dejected abd reinstalled. Deleted it off my iPad. Im in Argentina and it is not sending access codes. Which may not matter as they don't work any. This was my main conduit for communication. How do I get it back ??? Thanks

    Hi,

    Please try removing Viber, wait 24 hours, reinstall and try again (make sure you try both the SMS and the automated call options).


    In addition, you may try to register to Viber with a different number (for example - your home landline number, a friend's number, etc.), in order to determine whether the problem is specific with your number, or a general one.
