I can't see any networks on channels 12 or 13.  Looking in About This Mac > System Report > Network > Wi-Fi I see under Interfaces: en1: ... Locale: FCC  ...  Country Code: X0.

I am in the UK so the locale should be ETSI.

Is there a way to correct this?

I've tried messing with the timezone setting to no avail.

Thanks in advance,

Yes it could be - you think it shipped with locale preset? That could be true but it would surprise me if it is carved in stone as the mini has an international power supply and I'm sure the Broadcom chipset is able to do global channels. There must be some software configuration setting somewhere.

Your config looks just like mine BDAqua. I will try to paste it anyway.

If there is a setting, I'm thinking it's in Firmware or EFI, I don't think there's anyway to override it since FCC is so strict.

But what are your Country settings in other things, or in your registration?

Product registration and OSX country setting are both UK. Maybe the regulatory domain is set in firmware - that just seems unexpectedly inflexible. My Netgear router doesn't mind letting me set its location myself.

If all the US can get by on 11 channels I guess it's not going to kill me, it's just a bit frustrating!
