Dec 2, 2012 7:00 AM in response to Lillesandby William Lloyd,Using migration assistant at setup time is the easist way. It's super easy.
If you didn't do that and you have a managed library you can just copy it. And if you bought Aperture from the Mac App Store just install it on the second machine.

Dec 2, 2012 9:07 AM in response to Lillesandby Frank Caggiano,Are we talking about the application and not the libraries, right?
If so Apples Pro Apps are best installed fresh rather then migrated from another system.
How did you purchase Aperture? If you bought it form the App Store you can just go to the App Store and download it to the new system.
If you bought it on DVD yu should install from those and then use software update to get to the latest version.
If you bought it as a software download from the Apple Store then download frm Aperture 3.1 Trial

Dec 2, 2012 2:45 PM in response to Lillesandby Frank Caggiano,Is Aperture still running on the old system? If so you can start it up and go to Aperture->About Aperture. The serial number should be displayed.
If not see Pro Application Replacement Serial Numbers

Dec 3, 2012 3:33 AM in response to Lillesandby Lillesand,Aperture is still running on my old Mac, and when I go to Aperture-About Aperture I find a very long "number".

Is it right that the serial number is 32 lettes/numbers??
It begins with: F-285-NER-151-QBQ-and continues with 5 more 3 or 4 letters/numbers..

Yes, that is the number. And what version of Aperture have you installed? The same version as on your old Mac?
But it don´t work on my new Mac...
In what way does it not work? Does it require you to enter a licence number for Aperture 2 as well? That will be necessary, if your serial number is an upgrade serial number. Then you will have to enter all previous numbers as well.
Or does Aperture not accept the number as correct? Then check the spelling; some letters are easily confused like "I" and "1" and "O" and "0". Do not use the number pad to enter the numbers.

Dec 3, 2012 9:46 AM in response to Lillesandby Frank Caggiano,Is your current version of Aperture an upgrade from version 2? If so you will probably need the original version 2 serial number in addition to the version 3 number.

Dec 3, 2012 10:09 AM in response to Lillesandby Frank Caggiano,Then you will need to use the link I posted above for getting a replacement serial number.
