Nov 6, 2012 7:14 AM in response to BergerTby Arinya,Well this is sad. I actually can't watch any of my videos since they are in the cloud. I'll see if I can do the downgrade. Thanks! What the heck Apple?
Oh by the way! Where can I download the 5.02 software?

Nov 6, 2012 6:48 PM in response to Arinyaby vazandrew,Is that advertised speed or your actual speed via speedtest.net? Is it consistent?
If it's 1080P content the recommendation is 8mbps
6mbps for 720P
SD only needs 3mbps
Have you tried lowering the resolution in the settings?
Checked for interference? (istumbler.net or netstumbler, ethernet)
Netflix adapts to your connection, Youtube is highly compressed. Vimeo is somewhere in between.
You cannot officially downgrade.

Nov 6, 2012 8:32 PM in response to vazandrewby Arinya,Yeah I've already tried downgrading my resolution settings but I still get the same problem and I've never had this problem until after the update so it's not my bandwidth.
I know Apple doesn't want us to downgrade but restoring factory settings will have to do.

Nov 6, 2012 8:44 PM in response to Arinyaby vazandrew,I would contact your ISP to verify. Even if its not directly related to speed I would still rule out other network factors. Restoring to factory settings will install the latest firmware. It's still worth a shot in terms of regular troubleshooting though.

Dec 2, 2012 5:30 PM in response to Arinyaby Nancy H,Same problem here. How do I downgrade? Do I do it in itunes or on the Apple TV?
-
Dec 2, 2012 6:32 PM in response to Nancy Hby vazandrew,If you are trying to downgrade the resolution you do so on the Apple TV via settings.

Dec 3, 2012 2:04 AM in response to Arinyaby BergerT,Apple has just released AppleTV firmware 5.1.1 (update from 5.1 which has the issue with content playback).
But there are already reports that the update has introduced other issues, and as don't have time right now to test I will just wait a little bit more:
http://tidbits.com/article/13423 Update fails over Ethernet https://discussions.apple.com/message/20442921?tstart=0#20442921?tstart=0
update 5.1.1: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4448
Stability and performance Includes performance and stability improvements with the iTunes Store, AirPlay, Netflix, iTunes Match, and wired Ethernet connections. -
Dec 3, 2012 4:53 PM in response to BergerTby Nancy H,Well, it wouldn't matter. Even if I wanted to get the update, I can't get off the error screen.

Dec 3, 2012 5:10 PM in response to Nancy Hby vazandrew,You should be bale to back out of the error screen by holding down the menu button. If not you can connect to iTunes to restore via micro usb
