Fixed the problem by syncing my Photos!
In iTunes>Photos.Sync Photos from iPhoto
Check the all photos, albums, Events, and Faces dot
Let it sync
And then the beeping and connecting/disconnecting seems to have stopped!
Hope this helps someone else.

I have the same problem.
But I cannot find the sync option because my iphone will not connect properly.
I have never synced my iphone before on my new macbook. Maybe that's the problem?
I would really appreciate some help! Thanks!

While this solved my problem temporarily it came back a few months later and I took the iPhone to the apple store. They checked the connections and felt that the charging port was faulty and so replaced the phone. Since that, I've had not problems with the new phone suggesting that it must have been hardware rather than software all along.
If you've never synced before though, perhaps it is software. In iTunes on your MacBook, if you plug in the iPhone it should come up as a drop down box in top corner. Once you click on your phone you can change the sync settings. I'd try that before anything else.
