I have made about a 6 minute video on FCPX, and I need to export it to a dvd. I exported the Final Cut Pro file to Pro Res 422, and the quality looks great when played on my computer. To make a dvd, I just used share to DVD on Final Cut, and when I went to watch it, it did not look nearly as good and crisp as the Pro Res file. Any idea on how I can export a dvd with the absolute best quality possible? Also, my mac is new, so it did not come with iDVD. Any assitance would be very helpful! Thanks

Final Cut Pro X, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

DVD video is always going to be SD (standard definition) that's just the way it is.

Creating a Bluray Disc will raise the bar if you and your viewers have the hardware. FCP X can do this.

iDVD will give you around the same quality as the FCP X Share to DVD option.
