If it correctly reports your model of iPhone and the expected expiration of warranty, it's genuine. The same would apply if the iPhone can connect to, download and run apps from the iTunes Store.

Dec 4, 2012 1:07 PM in response to dali.pby Julian Wright,Why would you have reason to be suspicious? Did you buy it from somewhere unofficial?
Can it connect to iTunes on your computer and download, install and run apps from the AppStore? Fake iPhones can't do that.

Jul 14, 2015 2:34 PM in response to varjak pawby theLastResortt,I Know this is old but I did what you said and it says my warranty is expired. Did Boost sell me a used phone? They also did not give me that pretty little white box. I paid $550.00 for my 5 s on Saturday 7/11/15 Thank you....

it is not a new iPhone. Return it to Boost for replacement or refund.
