found a way to get rid of the error code and authorise my computer

when i installed  iTunes 10.7 important system files that were updated by iTunes 11 were not reverted back to 10.7 versions.

so this is what you do

    1. download pacifist from http://pacifist.en.softonic.com/mac

    2. open pacifist and drag the itunes 10.7 dmg on to it

    3. use two fingers and click on contents of itunes 10.7

    4. install to default location

    5. a message will pop up asking you to " install using admnistrator privileges " tick the box and click install and enter your password

    6. when it is installing always choose REPLACE FILES and thats it !

the question is...now I downgrade to the previous version of itunes with cover flow and the icon matrix, but when a new iOS will be released and I must have to upgrade, what will I do? may be to buy a galaxy???

Ultimately you will have to upgrade.  Of course when you do that boils down to decisions you make.  I use a 10 year old computer.   I can still run OS9 programs if I wish. As for iTunes, I still use iTunes 7.5 because I never saw a need for anything later than that.  At some stage something irreplaceable will give out in my computer and I'll be forced to by a newer one which will mandate my using a newer iTunes.

By all means buy a Galaxy.  I don't see how that's going to return cover flow in iTunes for you.  You'll just be stuck with whatever software Samsung uses on Macs to support its devices which might well not have it either.

of course, you're right, it's a provocation, but I think that It's a real stupid decision to change something that works fine!

If I downgrade iTunes with this tutorial, will I still have my ratings and number of plays? and do i have to use a itunes library file from before i installed itunes 11 or will it work with the newest library file?

Yes you will have your ratings and number of plays and you will have to change the itunes 11 library file .itl with the newst in the previuous itunes library folder inside your account->music->itunes folder but remember to use pacifis as curnal says, otherwise you will get some errors when itunes 10 will start

Is there any way at all of going back to iTunes 9.x from 10.7?  Obviously, I can't possibly go onto 11... by all accounts... no-ne has anything good to say about it...

I have it on an older latop, but that machine its on its last legs...

If I remove iTunes 10 from my system, can I somehow transfer 9 from my old machine before it dies?

    This is sooo depressing...

You can download older version of itunes from this site
    http://www.iphonefirmware.com/download-old-versions-of-itunes/

to install it you have to follow curnal's post (the last) in this discussion.

Thank you.  After spending time with our fine firend iTunes 11, hearing the sound quality diminish to what it is now with the new software, as well as the other hundred problems with iTunes 11, it has made me take my system back to 10.7.  Appreciate the links and instructions.  Will be printing this thread before Apple delete it from the boards.

I followed curnal's instructions, but I can't seem to open iTunes 10.7. When I click on iTunes, it wants to update to the v. 11. I get this message:

The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes. Would you like to download it now?

Was about to start my own thread asking about this.  I noticed it a week or two ago and been wondering if it was just something I never noticed.

Opening the same track in itunes and then straight from Finder reveals a massive difference.

I had this same issue. I just replaced the "iTunes Library.itl" file with one from the previous iTunes Library folder and it worked! You just have to add any music that was added while you used v11. You'll also need to recreate any playlists you made during your time using v11.

To me, it was worth this little glich! Hatev v11, LOVE v10.7!!!
