itunes "View Options" not working properly?

The "View Options" command under the View menu of iTunes 11.0 does not seem to be working properly.  If I untick the box called "iCloud Download" from the View Options pick list, the songs disappear.  However, if you tick it again, they do not reappear.   I tried this for the "Checked" option as well.  Same result. Untick the box and and the field disappears.  Tick it again and it does not reappear.  I've tried closing and reopening iTunes and closing and reopening the smart playlist to no avail.


Am I missing something?

iTunes, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
