I have windows 7 in boot camp, without anti-virus installed, now my mac wont boot at all, get a question mark when I try to boot.

The drive is visable in another machine, and it makes no noises, clicks or anything that would make me thing it was a drive problem.

New hard drive has the same problem, but all the internals on the machine seem to be working just fine. Could this be a bios issue, or corruption of the BIos, from a virus from the windows partition?

My insurance company that I have wont pay for the computer, unless I have some proof other than myself, that says that this issue is not a manufacture default, or mechanical failure. They basically need someone to say this could have been caused by a virus.

Shop I called wants to charge 150 to diagnose, and that is put towards repairs.

At that point I could just buy a used one on ebay, or craigslist or something.

Any ideas?
