Really Apple! What is this, iTunes 11 : I tried for 3 days but unfortunatly I hate it on many points.

I even bought iMatch, cause the idea is great and I tought that 1 year after and with a new iTunes that it would work ok, but God was I wrong. I spent around 3-4 hours on this **** (like I have to do this when I buy something) to make it work but then just leave.

I installed itunes 10,7 back and it's going great! Coverflow is just THE thing, you can give it some tuning so it is better but don't take it out. This is a BIG Mistake.

instead of removing cover flow, apple should add the tracklist behind the covers like on iPhone.

Or better yet improve it even more by making coverflow synced up over the network just like the volume and track controls on the "Remote" ">" app for the iphone/ipad.

So you have coverflow on your iphone or ipad that actually can control your coverflow in iTunes.

Not to mention adding back cover features as well.

And for pete sake apple, if coverflow was such a drain on resources on some machines why not just make it either a "seperate" addon app or optional component ?

We should nickname the new itunes 11  átunes. Because you would have to be a áhole to run it.

And the only people it helps is ápple !

ps: not sure if anyone else is following "á"pples stock but they dropped a wopping 35+ points today (6.5%) or in other words they lost about 20 BILLION (Billion with a B) dollars in value. That simply can NOT be a coincidence!

Dear apple. Unless your developers are trying to sink the company into bankrupcy. Contraction is not looking good for your stock price.

Honestly it couldn't be that much of a drain on an imac. Espescially when iphones & even old iPods have this fearure. All that I know, is that, ever since itunes 11, was introduced, my album art loading speed is horriblem, and I'm using a fast cable connection.

I have it. I downloaded it last night. I will see if I can host it somewhere and I can give you the link. Reply to this post if you are interested. This iTune 11 debacle. Maybe Apple needs to look up the definition of debacle... A sudden and ignominious failure; a fiasco.

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the update notifications for iTunes 11? I downgraded to 10.7 and I'm tired of seeing notifications for 11. I won't reinstall that again until they put back CoverFlow (among other things) or I hear good things about it.

Apple what are you playing at. You've turned i-tunes from a thing of absolute beauty into a dumbed down silly little shop. Don't you understand what music fans enjoy and how they interact with their music collections? BRING BACK COVERFLOW NOW OR I'M OFF TO SPOTIFY.

In the meantime can somebody tell me how to revert back to the old version of i tunes please.

And now I realise I've lost about 20% of my covers - years of work building a beautiful collection. Apple you are losing the plot - I'm really angry about this.

I too have lost covers many times before this but I am really ANGRY with Apple!! I know for fact in the past with new updates I have lost music, but with most of my music from old CDs that I keep I just readded them back on. Now they have taken away my favorite feature of iTunes ANGRY just doesn't cover it!! I am P&%&^%!!!

Does anybody know of a music player not windows media that is compatable with iphones and ipad? Because this is the last straw!! Not have they only taken away Coverflow but they have taken away the ability to edit your info on the MP3s you have purchased through itunes!! So all the time and effort I have put into my itunes to make just the way I want it is GONE!!

PLEASE more people need to summitt feedback to apple...

If they do not fix this I am gone! This is what I wrote to support...

"I DO NOT like that you have delted Coverflow from the new iTunes update!! I also DO NOT like that you have limited my access to the info on my MP3s that I have purchased on iTunes!! I have been a loyal customer to itunes since the very first Suffle hit the market! I will no longer be purchasing my MP3s on iTunes, I will be using Emusic from now on! Only thing I will be using iTunes for is to update my iPhone and I am seriously thinking about looking into the new Windows phone! There are way to many changes on this new update! I can no longer see how many MP3s I have listed in iTunes! I have lost to many MP3s do to updates to iTunes which cost me money! I DO NOT LIKE THIS NEW UPDATE ITUNES 11!!"

Please if someone knows of a compatable music player for iphones and ipad please let me know!!

2 thumps down Apple!! Steve Jobs is rolling over in his grave!!

Posted to the Apple Feedback portal (without selecting an iTunes version, since it doesn't go up to 11):

After updating to iTunes 11.0 today, I am disappointed to see both the coverflow and the sidebar Now Playing / Selected item window is gone.  I don't agree with the sentiment that users didn't find them useful.  To the contrary, I used both features as my primary mode of music playback, both for the visual aesthetic and the ease of finding items within the library.  It was simple to just start typing the artist/song and have it take me right to what I was looking for.

Now, I also used the library options that are set as the only mode of perusing the library (i.e. the menu method for songs in iTunes 11).  However, having lost the coverflow I don't have a nice way of displaying all the artwork I've put into my library.  Also, please bring back the dark field for the view - as with the attempted forced switch to the white field for album view in a previous iTunes 10 update, this is not appreciated.  The white field is simply very harsh on high brightness and certain external screens, and the option to customize, albeit limitedly, our iTunes experience should be a celebrated and unfettered experience.  As it stands, I was very excited for the update, but at present would not recommend to other users to update if they prefer the options that have been removed (such as the duplicate track finder).  The new features are fantastic, but why does new mean we have to completely dump the old?  Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

    Also disappointed with upgrade,

Coverflow was my favorite way of looking at my music collection. As others have said after so long spent cataloguing the artwork, it is very disappointing that Apple has made this choice on behalf of the users, for what appears to be a more seamless integration into the Apple store.

I will not recommend the upgrade and will look for a way to revert to previous edition.

    Bad move...
