In iTunes, click Window in the menu bar and then click MiniPlayer.
There are two options, one to switch to or from MiniPlayer, and another MiniPlayer option to just bring it up also.

Yes, I kow that. You can just press Option-Command-M as well. But that's not my question. iTunes is still docked on Screen 2, right?
What I want to know is this: if iTunes is anchored to Desktop 2 (via Dock-Options-Assign To This Desktop), is there some way to similarly anchor just the mini-player to Desktop 1 so that I can browse (since my browser is anchored to Desktop 1) & see which song is playing simultaneously?

If you Assign iTunes to All Desktops instead of anchoring it to the second, you can move the main iTunes window to the second desktop and MiniPlayer will appear on every desktop you switch to.

Thanks for the replies. The only problem with this solution is that any time I restart iTunes, it'll revert back to normal settings and both will pop up on the same desktop. As opposed to when you anchor it to a particluar desktop so that it open there not matter where you are when you launch the software.
I realise as I nitpick over this that may not be a very important issue at all But I just hoped there might be a solution to it. Thanks anyway.

That's a good question. I hope that this will either be answered or addressed in an update. For now I'm just living with the player on all my desktops.
