I just got my new retina computer two days ago. I've been hearing different methods of recharging your macbook for battery optimization. What's the best way? Should I just keep the charger in my laptop forever (if I can)? or should I just charge to 100% and then take out charger, and let it drain to 0...

thanks

Do NOT drain to 0.  That will kill it very quickly.

You can leave it plugged int most of the time, if you use it on battery down to 40% at least once a month.

Download "coconut battery" from macupdate.com to keep an eye on battery health over time.
