I just upgraded to mountain lion and the notification center is not working... I receive notifications on all the other devices  but not on my Macbook Notification Preferences are already set. Please help.

Many thanks,

No matter which alert style I select (none, alert or banner) and/or which applications I select IT DOES NOT MATTER. When I select the notification center (which only works by clicking on icon in upper right corner, but not by track pad swipe) the ONLY items that show up are my Tweet link, which does work, birthdays from my iCal and one iCal event. That's it. No other applications will show up, no time stamps, no deeper drill downs, nothing.

Is anyone else having this problem?

    Try this:

Go into calendar and create an event for early tomorrow (less than 24 hours from now).

Do you see it in Notification Center (once you open it)?

i get the same problem aswell like it wont even tell me if i have updates on appstore or if i have mail unless i manually open the applications it will shoot a notification so its really useless having to manually open all my applications for something thats meant to tell me

Have you set up Notifications in System Preferences?

i have the same problem, iset up everything and nothing is showing up on the sidebar,

the annoying thing is that i have a game i downloaded and the game is the only thing that shows there, even after i selected no notifacations for it.

someone knows what'sthe problem with it? or what am i doing wrong?
