This might be a bit of a long winded description so apologies!
I changed my phone wallpaper last night and after this, I noticed when I double tap the home button to close the apps properly, all the apps on my home screen disappear into the background completely. All I can see is a faint outline of the names like 'instagram' etc but no icons. When I close the apps down and go back to the main screen, the apps appear normally. I'm sure before this, they used to fade somewhat into the background but were still on the whole, pretty visible.
I've tried changing the background back to one that came loaded onto the phone but the same thing is happening.
Is this a software fault?
No, it's working as designed. Your recollection of how it worked previously is mistaken.
When I send a text, it sometimes reaches the end of a line and if I tap the space bar to get a fullstop
What do you mean "fullstop"?
Typing the spacebar inserts a space. Double tapping the spacebar inserts a period, unless that feature is turned off.
They previously were visible (I could see the text and the outlines of the apps involved) but now all that is visible is a faint outline of the writing. I will try and post a photo of what is happening when I can, maybe it's just my new background confusing me!
I'm from the UK, we call 'periods' full stops.
I can reach the end of a line and double tap the spacebar and nothing happens, something will only happen if I press the return key and delete the word I have just typed. It just seems to freeze somehow and not move on to the next line. It's hard to explain as it only does it every so often.
Apologies. I think it may be my new background (it is grey leopard print so is a bit funny on the eyes which was causing this to look like the apps had disappeared completely!) just tried another background and compared it to a friends and it looks fine so is definitely the new background causing a distortion.
Thanks! I will just try and sort out the full stop issue when it happens.
Thanks and sorry for my iPhone newbie behaviour!iPhone 5
