I have a new MacBook Air and connect to my 2011 Airport Extreme wirelessly but often find that performance becomes very slow until I reboot the AEBS.  What I'm wondering is if folks have been able to see peak performance setting MTU on the MacBook Air and if so, what has been your experience?

I've seen MTU settings from 1472 to other values work for other folks and have tried them myself but have not seen improvement in performance.  I also noted that Cocktail (from Maintain) has an optimization feature for network settings per interface and for some reason, it doesn't seem to work very well, at least from my experience.

Any help here would be really appreciated.  Its frustrating to have such great hardware but hamstrung due to a simple think like MTU be the bottleneck.

Thanks
