the audio book should be in your music app on your phone - just wanted to make sure you checked there first. Next, you might try downloading it right from your purchased category in itunes store from your phone

other than those things... You could try redownloading itunes on your computer - if its a windows that process is a little different than just reinstalling itunes like on a mac. search apple.com for HT1925 for help on that.
