Every time I delete a note in iCloud Notes it recovers the file back to the 'On My Mac' recovery folder. I close the program out, open it back up, and it just does it over and over again. I had as much as 10 recovered items in there at one time. It is driving me crazy and I want it to stop. Does anyone know how to make it stop. Or at least make it where the notes only sync to my iCloud and not my desktop?

I tried to delete the folder and it did nothing.

Thanks for any help that is offered..

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

It appears no one is ever able to really fix a problem on a Mac, the support threads ramble on but never get a solution. iCloud wont let me delete items from my tasks list, it annoyingly keeps putting them back - if I mention this the Mac-Nerds will go on and on about how you have to set things up correctly without realizing the problem occured sudenly and had been working fine for a long time... they were set up - just fine! Then all of a sudden, they don't work. In the end it all comes back to some large preditory, carnivorous cat - a leopard, a lion - maybe the fat tabby that lives two doors down is involved. All you'll get is a conversation with a Mac-Nerd that goes: Nerd: "did you try this?" - You: "yeah", Nerd: "oh, did you try this?" - You: "yeah", (enter new Nerd) Nerd 2: "you should have fed your Lion twice a day and only once on every second Tuesday of the month, how could you not know this??" You: "its been working fine for months" Nerd: "have you tried?" You: "the thing you said in the beggining that I said I had? ...yeah (sigh!)"

Seems like the best thing to do is to just ignore the Recovered Items folder on the Mac.

Notes is flaky, and has been for a long time. I have yet to find a notes app that works across all devices and syncs not just reliably, but handles conflict resolution gracefully.

    This is driving me bananas!

I have a "Recovered Items" folder on my notes that upon opening the Notes application - relaunches whatever note I just was working on and duplicates it... and throws it in this folder. I have tried everything - including emptying cache folders... etc. I don't know how to get rid of this stupid "Recovered Items" folder for good and get it to stop duplicating my last note I was working on every time I open Notes!

Someone please provide help if you find it!

Yup, that's how bad it is. As a result, I haven't been using it as much recently, and it seems the problem got better.
