I've gone back to my early adopter days and downloaded 11 prior to seeing the plethora of posts deriding it. I thought things were going well until I plugged in my old iPhone 3Gs running iOS 5 and it would not see it. Did the usual things: restarted both iTunes and my Intel Core 2 Duo iMac running 10.7.5, rebuilt preferences. My iMac does indeed recognize my iPhone as I have it set to import pictures using Image Capture that boots on plugging in the iPhone. I quit Image Capture waiting for iTunes 11 to show the 3Gs to no avail. Also tried the hard shut-down of the iPhone. I should mention that I also have an iPhone 4s that is recognized. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks in advance.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
