I had recently bought a refurbished iPad 3 and discovered it had such poor reception that I could barely pick up the WiFi signal unless I was right on top of my Airport Extreme. I don't have this problem with any of my other Apple products. I am reading on this website that this is not an uncommon problem with the iPad 3. Lots of complaints. Now I'm thinking of returning my iPad 3 and getting a new iPad 4 or a refurbished iPad 3. Has Apple addressed this problem with the new iPad 4? Is the reception any better? Does Apple fix the reception problem when they go through the refurbishment process with the iPad 3? I'm trying to get an iPad for my wife for Christmas, and I'm running out of time. Any help on this would be appreciated.

There is no WiFI problem on the iPad 3.

If your iPad 3 has such a problem it is unique to your device. Return it and get a replacement

Unfortunately, I'm seeing problems with the iPad 3 on the internet with this very problem. Some on this website. My iPad 3 was made in March 2012. Maybe the problem was fixed along the way or maybe, it's just a figment of my imagination. I'm sending this one back for a refund. I guess i'll take a chance on another iPad 3 since my problem is appparently unique. Thanks for your help.
