I have recently updated the software on my Apple TV. I now seem to be losing the connection to my iTunes Library on my iMac rather frequently.

I have reset/restarted Apple TV, my BT infinity router and my iMac.

I am running iTunes 11.0 which I also recently updated to.

It does seem very coincidental that since all these UPDATES recommended by Apple that I now have Wi-Fi connection problems.

I would be grateful of any advice/suggestions.

Contacting BT, your ISP, won't do any good. The problem is on your LAN (Local Area Network) and has nothing to do with your internet connection. Again Apple passing the buck when an Update FUBARs a working system.

About the only thing to try is to Restart all pieces of equipment. Something the Update did to one or multiple pieces of equipment has cause the dropping of the WiFi signal.

I had the same problem, spent HOURS on the phone with Apple Tech Support with no answers that worked. Because my ATV was new I even sent it back and got a replacement, it still dropped connection. The only way I got mine to work was to run a ethernet cable from my AE to the ATV and I know this is not possible for everyone.

AE is a reference to Airport Express. The Apple router. so he was running from the router to the Apple TV. But for you depending on whether it is the ATV or your Mac dropping the connection. If it's the Mac then a cable from router to ATV won't help you.
