Hello all,

My iMac is booked in for Monday for the hard drive replacement program for the affected 1TB Seagate hard drives.

However, I recently installed Mountain Lion which is of course a download only, not on discs.

I have a full Time Machine back-up of the iMac.

When Apple replace the hard drive, does the new hard drive come totally blank?

If so, how do I restore from Time Machine to the new hard drive?

I have a Recovery USB but I am assuming this will not work as the drive will not have an operating system, therefore no Recovery HD partition?

Any help before I take it in?

Many thanks,

Stuart.
