Recurring problem.

If I cut and past text from Pages into Apple Mail, to send the text in the body of the email, it will not send.

It looks like the email sends, and there is no error message, but nobody ever receives the email, including the cc's to myself.

There is obviously something that Mail does not like about Pages text.

The document will send as a Pages or PDF attachment.

However, strangely enough I have tried cutting and pasting the offending text into PDF format, and then over into InDesign format, and then copied and pasted back into Mail  -   AND THE EMAIL WIIL STILL NOT SEND.   Quite crazy.  Three transitions to different software packages, and still there is something aboutbthe text that Mail does not like.    (And normal emails are sending ok, while all this is going on.)

The only solution is to rewrite the text into the email, but that is a bit of a pain for the 21st century.

This happens on my iPad and also on my i-desktop thingy that I cannot remember the name of.  All new equipment, and all up to date software.

Anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

I would imagine converting to plain text before pasting into Mail would work; I keep a simple AppleScript in the Scripts menu for this purpose:

set the clipboard to the clipboard as text

Setting Mail to use plain text instead of rich text would probably also work.

I don't know too much about this, but I am beginning to suspect that the problem has nothing to do with format.

Something, most likely in the content, is probably triggering a spam filter that stops the transmission.
