Just thought I would update folks that the poll for

the new iTunes on iLounge (http://www.ilounge.com).

Of the 426 people that have responded, 42% are in

the "None of the above. I really don't like the new version at all."

    category.

At least in this poll, the numbers are approaching a majority

that do not like iTunes 11!!

BTW, ONLY 30% like the new interface!!!

I just think Apple is going to go down.. and when it will, it's going to go down in Flames..

    - iPhone 5 : a lot of issues (connection issues, even with their update...)

    - MBP Retina : a lot of issues

    - itunes 11 : really impressed they let this go public with so many lame issues.. this proves that there is not the spirit of the finished product at Apple anymore.. (seriously a bug like you can't scroll to chose your TV shows to sync with you iPad is not seen? Crazy...)

I got handcuffed by apple (started with the iPhone and iTunes, then ATV) So i'm a fan of effeciency and practicallity... this is why i moved away from Windows a while back.. i didn't want to think about what i was going to do on my computer....i wanted it to be intuitive, apple gave me that... but today.. it's just like stupid.. lack of inteligence and professionalism. Get a hold of yourselves.. iTunes 11 has soooooo many issues it's an insult to Steve Jobs and to his creativity.

Can't scroll to chose your tv shows, unwatched bug that is ridiculous... so many other ones. Seriously Apple use the KISS philosophy : Keep It Simple Stupid! Stop showing off with shining new things that don't work... make less shiny but more reliable...   I'm seriously thinking of leaving all apple products behind, but the issue is, and they know it... changing is horribly annoying.. so they feed us with **** these days.

Get a grip, get your level of reliability, effecienty, professionalism back, or one day you're going to go down in flames.... we've seen many companies do that and finish like that...

The problem is where else can one go?

The abortion that is called Windows 8?

Android with its host of problems (been there, done that)?

    Linux, really?

The issue is that the computer/mobile industry is reaching

the point where they believe if they put a little glitz on a product

people will still buy regardless of quality!

The U.S. auto industry went down the same road in the 70's and

80's and look where they are now.

I miss the artwork on the lower left corner.  ok I still have iTunes Artwork screensaver but not good.

Command L doesn't work until the next track starts playing, useless for the present track playing, then switches off after doing something else in iTunes. like eg. syncing.

Search is less immediate as you have to see all the artworks according to Albums and Songs before getting to the list of songs which is after pressing Return… ok when you know how it works but disconcerting until you do. (Well I think I do, but there could be surprises yet)

Several songs, different ones each time, are resyncing although already on the device, which then lose their play count, which is therefore no longer accurate - several songs now have no play count alongside the date last played.  Why the resync?

I now have 64 songs in the cloud which come and go in the Music playlist, identical to songs I already have but purchased rather than the protected AACs.

    Hmm confusing…

Just found you are still able to download the original coverflow app that Apple bought originally. It works with Mountain Lion, although the integration with iTunes will be less rewarding. Still... better then the trouble of going back for 10.7... You have to alllow instalations from "Anywhere" in your System Preferences/Security and Privacy settings.

I'm sad to see the lack of quality control on the design side of things consistently since Steve left... Everything is starting to look cheaper and more quickly produced.

this new itunes is no exception. the buttons are hideous. the fonts/shadows/gradients are all just terrible now.

    Amen to that!

The new GUI looks cheap, flat, unimaginative and is simply hideous. I just hope that Johnny Ive wasn't involved in this effort yet and that things will improve again...

Biggest issue for me is that you can no longer have the column browser on the left of the main window. You now can only have it above the main window. I have no idea what Apple's UI designers were thinking when they implemented this change. It now requires endless scrolling through the column browser to find things because the columns are so short and it reduces the height of the main window which again forces more scrolling. Having it on the left is more intuative and usable because most people now have widescreen monitors with much more horizontal space. Surely it's a no brainer?

No fan of the new search either, I find it virtually unusable. It doesn't return results for information stored in the comment tag, and I much prefer the old search where results were displayed in the main window.

In a nutshell, style over substance. And the styling is not that great. Full of bugs.

I hate iTunes 11.0!  There's no more Coverflow!!

It also blew up the Music Match lyrics application that I just bought and spent hours setting up.  For what?  Some vague reference to purchased content being available everywhere instantly.  Whatever, I don't think I'm really interested in that.

Oh well, my 2009 Mac and iPhone 4 are getting a little old anyway, maybe it's time to move on to something more flexible.  This is why I always bought CD's that could be ripped into anything.  Thank god I don't have $1000 worth of iTunes music hanging over my head.

Its utter garbage.  Need to get back to 10.7.  Useless.  Apple can refund the £10 I have had to pay for software to get my podcast to work!!!!!!

Apple used to be customer focused.  Now its not - simple!!!

Just wondering, where are you getting your data that a 'majority' of iTunes users feel the way you do?
