Q: how to restore select items off phone

I need to restore everything back to my phone from a back up but not the other - I was given the support email at the Apple store but if I restore from back up i will be back at sqare one with the 5 GB of other - which is slowing the phone down and causing it to crash repeatidly. How can I do this.

    The backup contains the other data so you can't restore from the backup. Your best bet is to start over. Restore the device as new and then manage the device settings in iTunes and sync the data back to the device.

     

    After which delete the old backup(s) that contains the corrupted file and create a new backup

     

    Mac - iTunes > Preferences > Devices

    PC - Edit > Preferences > Devices
