Absolutely not. There is no software available, and that's fine because the iPhone can NOT get viruses, malware, etc.

IPhone is just as virus prone as any other device that goes out there on the web. Apple folks seem to live in a dreamy white world. There are lots of good security apps for Android. Norton, Kaspersky etc.

Do you have any basis for your information?

    We're not talking about Android.

So you mean to say that Apple has signed the code for a virus and permitted it into the App Store, therefore allowing it to run on the iPhone? Maybe you are not aware of this, but iOS is not open source, as is Android.

Please provide documentation for this statement.

I too would be interested in where you are getting that information.

Sargentks; I would suggest you ignore the post by rob4527 until he give some documentation to backup his position.

as much as any other device which don't support downloading and installing anything from the browser

and a browser which don't support 3th party plugins

most virus and malware have to be 100% made for a platform like take windows with IE6

such a virus/malware will not run on say linux with firefox or osx with safari or ios with safari

not even malware made for osx with safari would work on ios with safari
