When I view my photos in Aperture, some of them don't work properly: they show up for a second, then a photo from a completely different project appears in place of it. What to do?

Aperture 3, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

When did that problem first occur? Did you install or upgrade software? Import photos? Move your Aperture library? Did Aperture or the system crash? What is your Aperture version?

This looks, like your library may be corrupted. Have you already tried to repair the library? If not, I'd start with the Aperture library first Aid: see

Post back, if this did not fix it.

I have installed Aperture recently. I have tried to repair the library and permissionsbut nothing helped.

Check, if the thumbnail or the preview is correct: select one of the image versions in question and toggle between original and preview by pressiing "M". Is the original the same as the preview? Then the thumbnails are wrong. Use the command "Photos > Generate Thumbnail" to replace the thumbnail.

Thumbnail and preview are correct but the photo chosen then shows the original photo for a second but then shows completely different photo from another collection.

. I have tried to repair the library and permissionsbut nothing helped.

Have you also tried the third option "rebuild"?
