I have been thinking about purchasing the newest iPad with retina display.  I understand that the iPad with retina display now charges with the new lightning adapter.  I have a dock that charges, using the 30 pin connector.  Since the 30 pin charger obviously will not work with the lightning plug, I thought the lightning to 30 pin adapter would be the perfect solution.  My only concern is, whethor or not the lightning to 30 pin adapter will be able to hold up the weight of the iPad on just that little lightning adapter piece.  Is the lightning to 30 pin sturdy enough to hold up an iPad when the lighting to 30 pin adapter is plugged into a dock?
