I click on Rename, type in new name and it automatically goes back to old name.  This is for a newsletter and I always use same format as previous month.  HELP!

    Hi Jerry,

I can't answer your queston, but I suggest that you use Duplicate rather than Rename. Leave the old edition as is and go forward with the Duplicate File. After Duplicating, Command-S and assign the new name to the document.

I assume you're talking about choosing rename from clicking on the document title. It seems that you can't just click, highlight & type in the new name. For it to "take" you must delete the existing name then type. Something is missing in the code.

    Just clarifying what Peggy said.

There is a bug in Pages. You need to select the entire file name and replace it, it won't let you edit parts of it.
