TS1424 Problem with iTunes new version

Trying to access iTunes store and cannot connect. Keeps saying "The network connection was reset". All other programmes are working normally. I have just upgraded to iTunes 11. I also cannot play any files the mysterious tick which has appeared by each tune indicates cannot locate the file (????). Help someone. Getting to Apple support is very difficult.

    I too had your problem, the first among many.

    Now iTunes freezes

    Can't sync or eject

    Message saying ITune using another program

    All music and audio books are on computer (Windows 7) But don''t

    transfer to iPod...and not just one iPod. New Cords etc

    It IS the new iTunes
