If your Mac is running Lion, Mountain Lion, or you are trying to configure with an iOS device, Apple has dropped the WPS setup option.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions to set up your printer manually....not using WPS.

WPS is not secure. It is only supported in a limited fashion with Apple AirPort base stations, perhaps for this reason.
Although WPS is marketed as being a secure way of configuring a wireless device, there are design and implementation flaws which enable an attacker to gain access to an otherwise sufficiently secured wireless network.
