I am having the same issue with all current updates on my MAC Book Pro installed. What is strange is that sometimes I just have to go to the URL line in the toolbar and hit return agin and other times nothing seems to help and I have to reboot. I am on WIFIi and I know it is working because my email is still working and when I do a diagnostic on the network it says all is OK. I also have an ipod and ipad which work just fine while my MAC Book Pro does not. Quiting Safari and starting it back up does not help. Once in awhile if I walk away for an extended period it may work again without rebooting.
