Dec 10, 2012 12:35 PM in response to stephen68by Zig3,I have the same issue. Using 27" 2012 iMac and FCPX. Where the thumbnails should be in the event browser I just see blue boxes. When I run the cursor over them I can see the video, but when I move it away they go back to blue boxes. I have another iMac running FCPX and does not have this issue.

Dec 12, 2012 1:54 PM in response to stephen68by DGabrielP,I'm having the same issue. I've quit out of FCPX a few times and then re-started. At first on restart they all appear. Then after a few moments all of a sudden many clips are back to the blue box. I can skim, will see the visual but as soon as my skimmer moves off the thumbnail it's back to blue box.

Dec 12, 2012 3:12 PM in response to stephen68by DGabrielP,I may have solved my own issue. I clicked on one of my clips (or you can click on all your clips for that matter) in the event browser, opened the inspector tab and clicked on the 'Info' tab, then the 'settings' drop down at the bottom of the inspector window. I then clicked on 'apply custom name' and then clicked 'original name from camera'.
So far all my thumbnails are visible and I've been working for 1hr since my last post with no thumbnails going BLUE on me. They are all still visible. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.
Best Regards.
