When my eMac goes to sleep it wakes up to a locked compressed ble screen and needs a resart to clear. Any Ideas how to fix

    Hello,

What all USB or Firewire devices are connected?

Disconnect those two & see if it wakes.

Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem  & the Startup right after that for clues.

    Hmmmm,

Turn off Airport & disconnect Ethernet if you have it & test again.

In System Preferences>Energy Saver, do you have put Haed Drives to sleep if possible? If so uncheck it & test.

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to...

    /var/db/

Is there a BootCache.playlist in there?
