I'm having this problem with iTunes 11, so that pretty much confirms it's an Apple issue rather than Adobe as some people have suggested. Sort of inexusable that Apple has let this go on for so long.

Maybe they're on it for the past year, but they just can't figure it out! Hahahaha. Meanwhile, a workaround that has already found itself into my muscle memory is a short click to the menu bar on top that quickly restores the cursor. Hope that helps! Maybe a fix will come at the same time as the new 24 core Mac Pro's ;-)

PLEASE EVERYBODY stop posting "i have the same problem or same here" until someone post a solution. you create tons of pages for everyone to search and loose our time with no answers. OK you have the same problem, im having the same problem but what? you want sympathy? if there is no answer in this post, its completely useless!!!

    Hi Lazzaros.

Nobody is going to post a solution - it has been months. The only way is to get Apple to fix it is perhaps by sheer weight of numbers - we must make them hear that a lot of people are having this problem. So they will fix it sooner. Sorry if it's boring, but how else can we solve it?

I just upgraded my softare to the latest Adobe CS6 and the problem is maybe worse now.

    Hi AndyHook

If it is by how many people post theyr problem and that number will ring a bell to apple, then i can understad you and your right. But you know that when you stumb upon a problem like this (and its usualy when you working on a project or a client) time is an issue, so the time you have to find a solution or an answer is limited.Especially when you have to look in hundreds of sites and links and to reed tons of pages in each one.

i thought that in apple's site, someone would answer to our broblems (someone from apple).

This is a user to user support forum. If you want to get Apple's attention it is advised to use the feedback link. Apple does not read these forums.

Ok guys, I believe I have a solution!!!!

I posted about my problem months ago hope someone here could find out but finally got sick of it can call Apple support. this seems to have solved my issue in photohop 5.1 running on my 27" imac. hope it works for you all too. The Apple tech was great by the way!!

first restart your computer in safe mode:

restart the computer and when you hear the chime, hold SHIFT until you see the apple icon.

launch the program that you're experiencing the problem with and try it. in my case it was Photoshop in th brush mode. It worked for me in the safe mode so we figured it was related to something else besides Mountain Lion and Photoshop.

Next restart the computer and once it's up, go to System preferences / User & Group  then click the lock to unlock it. then go to to Login item. here do not just click on the BOB but click on the NAME of the item and click minus on anything that may be problematic. start with things you don't know if you don't want to remove everything. I removed Dropbox, Google Drive, VMFusion, a fe Adobe items and left only mail and calendar alone.

retart the computer and lauched Photoshop and Voila! tested out the brush tool and it was golden.

    good luck you guys!

So, remove everything that allows us to be productive on our system? Thanks for the post, but I don't see this as an acceptable fix. I think this issue started when apple changed the way their cursor is handled by introducing more trackpad functionality. I am using Lion and have this issue. Seeing that many users here have Mountain Lion with the same problem tells me that Apple just doesn't care enough.

The fact that they left this issue as is and continue to release new software versions just shows how much they care about the professional user. I guess their main user base from years ago can no longer compete with the money being pulled in from the consumer side. Apple used to be about quality. Now, it seems to be more about quantity.

I suspect Apple's change to their cursor handling no longer jives with 3rd party software. It is still on Apple to make this right by coordinating with these vendors to come to a solution. I have experienced this in and outside of Adobe software. I have experienced it using just Safari. This leads me to believe it is not an issue with Adobe specifically.

Please, everyone who is involved in this thread send it through Apple's feedback.

So, to undestand correctly. This is a post for all of us to come here and tell eachother that we have the same problem...

    Lazzoros,

The reason people post repeatedly about the problem is, among other things, to contribute whatever evidence they may have of their individual experience so as to establish the parameters of the issue. For example, is it just with one version of the OS, one person's computer, just with Photoshop or Adobe products? It is potentiallly usefully information. It is also worthwile to see how widespread the problem is. And finally, it's a discussion board set up for this issue, so people are free to, you know, discuss it!

Frankly, at this point, you are the one wasting people's time, because your repeated complaints about what other people are posting are off topic.

I was having horrible issues with my mouse cursor disappearing.  Eventually I determined that it was almost certainly related to the Flash player while playing videos full screen in Safari.

I was resigned to live with the issue until either Apple or Adobe figured things out.

One change I recently made really improved my situation was adjusting the size of my mouse pointer in the accessibility settings.  I had my pointer a bit larger than normal and when I reset it back to the normal size the cursor still disappeared but less often than before and it tended to return with less effort.

I would be very interested to know if anyone here did not use Migration Assistant.

I installed Mountain Lion after erasing my entire internal HD, to make certain that no corruption remained. Migration Assistent was not used. I had no mouse cursor disappearing problem for three months, and after that the cursor disappears every hour or so, the screen shivers slightly to the left, and I have to press Escape to get it back.

Apple's wireless mouse has had disconnection problems for years, with thousands of words on the subject here and elsewhere, and many reports to Feedback, but no fix by Apple. "It just works", "Out of the box", etc !! What a laugh!

I'm using a clean install of OS 10.8.2 and the same problem is occurring when iTunes 11.0.1 (12) hides the cursor on a full screen video.

People have been reporting this problem since 2011.

Here's another thread on the subject.

This made my work impossibile, the worst OS of my experience.

This is not a solution but the only way to reduce continuous mouse disappearing for me, when I paint and work with Photoshop, is to hide the dock (cmd+alt+D).

It's not a miracle, but the minor harm.

I can't understand really the problem because it appears totaly randomly!!

Please do something...and do it fast!

iPhone, iPad, iGadgets business make you forget how to realize a great os for professional users!

PS: the mouse disappearing, making fault some photoshop plugins that cmd+tab solution causes.
