Double click it.
See the double monitor icon now?
I just moved from OS 10.4.11 to Mountain Lion and haven't figured out how to get to the System/Library nor the User/Library??

Nov 22, 2012 1:31 AM in response to mek!by ruggiero,I finally found the answer somewhere (can't remember where). If you have access to a Lion System you can simply copy the display menu extra from that system. It works perfectly on Mountain Lion.
You can find it in /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras. Simply put it into the same location in Mountain Lion overwriting the Mountain Lion version. You may want to keep a copy of the original 10.8 as well as the one from 10.7 in case a system update "fixes" it back to Mountain Lion version. Has not happened so far for me. No problems at all.
Hope this helps
